Production Technician

Title: Production Technician
Hours: Part-time, non-benefitted
Job Openings: One

Seeking detail-oriented individual to assist with a variety of manufacturing processes. Duties will vary to include instrument assembly work as well as boxing and shipping responsibilities. The individuals in these part-time roles are critical to ensuring timely sales order fulfillment and the consistent availability of subassemblies for the production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete manufacturing “job” assignments with efficiency and precision
  • Assist in inventory receiving
  • Subassemblies, accessories, and consumables manufacturing
  • Prepare, package, and ship instruments and consumables
  • Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
  • Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
  • Suggest and implement process improvements
  • Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude and a passion for customer satisfaction
  • Review work activities with the supervisor
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Other duties as required

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work well within a team and independently
  • Organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and punctual
  • Ability to learn and use computers, ERP system, and shipping platforms such as UPS WorldShip
  • Ability to continuously stand, walk, bend, climb stairs and lift up to 40lbs
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Two or more years of experience working in manufacturing preferred
  • High school diploma or Associates Degree
  • Extra points if you enjoy classic rock and BBQ lunches

Equipment Used

  • Hand tools, scales, computers, label printers, measurement equipment, drills
  • Soldering iron. Electronics soldering skills preferred; a willingness to develop skills may be acceptable
